Doggy Paddle Day: Paws in the Pool for a Pawsome Cause
Photo Credit: MyClearWater Today, Morningside Complex Pool hosted the much-anticipated annual event, Doggy Paddle Day, welcoming furry visitors and their enthusiastic owners. The day was dedicated to splashing fun and supporting a noble cause—raising funds for the Humane Society of Pinellas. Attendees happily contributed a $7 donation fee, with all proceeds directed to aiding animals in need. To ensure safety and fun, splash times were organized: dogs taller than 21 inches enjoyed swim sessions from 11 a.m. to noon or 2 to 3 p.m., while smaller pups had their designated time from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Reservations were a must due to limited space, and proof of dog vaccinations was required for admission, following health and safety guidelines. The atmosphere was filled with joy, wagging tails, and happy barks echoing throughout the pool area. It was a heartwarming sight as dogs gleefully swam, and owners captured treasured moments of their furry friends enjoying the water.
