Clearwater, a city committed to sustainable progress, has unveiled three new dual-port electric vehicle (EV) chargers on Pierce Street near Coachman Park. These chargers, operated by Blink Charging, supplement the two existing units in the Garden Avenue Garage. This initiative marks a significant step toward promoting EV usage and infrastructure in the city.
To commemorate this advancement, an opening celebration and public EV test-drive event are scheduled for Friday, December 1, from 4 to 6 p.m. at 224 Pierce St. in Downtown Clearwater. This event, in collaboration with the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy, aligns with the city’s objectives outlined in the Greenprint 2.0 sustainability plan. A primary goal is to conduct at least one EV test-drive event annually, open to the public, promoting the adoption of eco-friendly transportation solutions.
