As the year winds down Operation Helping Hand is celebrating the holidays and saluting the troops. All year long they are as busy as elves doing fundraising events and raising awareness for the wounded warriors at the James A. Haley Hospital. OPHH helps to fund the very necessary therapies consisting of music, art, virtual reality plus motion/dance therapy programs. Military men and women stationed around the world can find themselves in need of rehabilitation. Many find their way to Tampa Way and the local VA. Founded in 2007, OPHH has made a big dent in the ability to help fund and grow the therapy offerings. They see the benefits first hand. The Veterans get the much needed attention and care. OPHH also provides assistance to local family members on the sidelines supporting their family member as they fight to get better.
The Holiday Party is a time to celebrate the year gone by.
The Patriotic and fun filled event is set for December 14 at 6 pm at Embassy Suites at 3705 Spectrum Blvd, Tampa, FL 33612 by USF.
Sponsors will be on hand. Veterans will be there too and others are invited to join in on the festive fun.
