As the sun rose on Martin Luther King Jr. Day in Clearwater, Tampa Bay, the city came together to honor the legacy of the iconic civil rights leader, with a special emphasis on unity, justice, and advocacy for human rights. The event featured two distinguished keynote speakers, National NAACP Chairman of the Board, Leon Russell, and Pinellas County Administrator, Barry A. Burton, each sharing their unique perspectives on the ongoing journey towards equality.

Leon Russell, a stalwart advocate for human rights, has dedicated his life to the cause and has been an influential force on the National Board of Directors for the NAACP since 1990. His keynote address resonated with the crowd, emphasizing the importance of continuing the fight for justice, equality, and the protection of human rights for all.
