The Tampa Bay Rowdies made a significant announcement on Thursday, naming Robbie Neilson as their new head coach for the USL Championship club under a multi-year contract.
At 43 years old, Neilson brings a wealth of experience, having previously managed over 350 matches in his coaching career. His coaching tenure includes a successful stint at Heart of Midlothian and Dundee United F.C. in the Scottish Premiership, as well as England’s MK Dons FC.
Notably, Neilson’s coaching record is marked by an impressive winning percentage. During his time with Hearts and Dundee United, he achieved the highest winning percentages in the history of both clubs. His tenure at Hearts saw him securing victory in 58.8 percent of his matches, while at Dundee United, he maintained a strong record, winning 57.1 percent of his games.
